Hotel occupancy in Sofia is recovering from the slowdown during the Covid pandemic and the war in Ukraine more slowly than the average hotel room rates, which are already above the level of 2019.
This is the trend in Europe and around the world, unlike the years after the global financial crisis in 2008-2009, when customer returns preceded price increases. This became clear during the conference "Investments in hotels and valuation", organized by the Chamber of Professional Valuers.
