Over the course of two intensive and productive days, representatives of leading European valuation organisations gathered in Riga for the General Assembly of TEGOVA. The event provided a platform for strategic discussions on the development of the profession and the future framework of European valuation standards.
A key focus of the meetings was the role of standards as the foundation of professional practice, their ongoing evolution, and their importance in harmonising valuation activities across Europe. Discussions also addressed key drivers shaping the sector, including regulatory developments, digital transformation, artificial intelligence, and the growing significance of ESG factors.
CPV was represented by the Chair of the Management Board Ценка Божилова and the Executive Secretary Весела Семова, who actively participated in the professional discussions and exchanged expert perspectives at European level.
Among the key areas addressed during the Assembly were the development of the European Business Valuation Standards, standards for the valuation of intangible assets, and the increasing role of artificial intelligence in valuation practice. Particular attention was also given to the impact of ESG frameworks and EU legislation on the future of the profession.
The event reinforced the shared understanding that the sustainable development of the valuation profession in Europe depends on strong and consistent standards, active cooperation between professional organisations, and openness to innovation and emerging technologies.
